I am a complete beginner and I only want to learn to play songs. Is that possible?
Yes, it is possible to learn to play songs by learning simple chords.
How long will it take for me to learn to play the guitar?
You can learn to play basic guitar within eight weeks and even play a simple song, by your third session. It depends on how much time you dedicate to practicing guitar every day.
How much time will I need to dedicate to guitar practice every day?
Consistency is the key and as a beginner, you can see good results in 30 - 40 minutes of practice every day. As you learn more and get to intermediate and advanced levels you will need more time to practice
Do I need to own a guitar?
You will need access to a guitar every day to practice. If you don’t own one then you can borrow one. As long as you have access to it at all times, it is fine.
Which guitar should I buy?
An acoustic steel-string guitar with light to medium gauge strings is great for beginners.
I am a complete beginner and I already have an electric guitar and an amp. Do I need to buy an acoustic guitar to start learning?
No. You can use the electric guitar. There will be a tonal difference and you will have to adapt your playing to get a good sound from your electric guitar while strumming.
Where can I buy a guitar from?
You can go to the nearest store in your city or country and buy a guitar according to your budget. You can also purchase it online. It would be advisable to go along with someone who knows about guitars if you go to a store to buy one. If you want to buy it online, please make sure you know what you are buying. Do I need a brand-new guitar?
No. You can purchase a used guitar if it is in playable condition. Once again, it would be advisable to go along with someone who knows about guitars when you go to buy one. Good guitar servicing can make a used guitar sound great as ever.
Do you offer classes in person at your academy or the student's residence?
Yes, I offer in-person classes at my studio, and I also do home visits up to a certain distance.
I don’t live in India. Do you teach students from other countries and time zones?
Yes, I do. Please contact me for time slots convenient for your time zone.
I know the basics. How can I decide which level I am at?

I know a few chords and scales but I am not able to improvise.
Improvisation is an art that comes with knowledge and dedicated practice. Once you learn musical devices you will be able to improvise freely.
What payment modes do you accept?
For India, Bank transfers, GPAY, and Cash are accepted. Paypal is accepted for international students. (Taxes apply).
What is the payment schedule?
Payments are to be made in advance in order to book a session. One can opt for an individual session or a monthly plan. The system will raise an invoice in the last week of the month. Payment is expected on or before the due date, in order to secure a slot.
What are the requirements for an online session?
You will need
A laptop or a desktop computer as a mobile screen gets too small to view notes.
A high-speed WIFI connection. (LAN is preferable)
Good lighting for visibility.
A USB web camera is preferred to the onboard laptop cameras
Minimum background noise.
Headphones.
